Music Department Coordinator

A central London school's Music Department is seeking a temporary Music Coordinator to provide administrative support for a four-week period. This is an opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the Music Department and help organize events in iconic venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Music Department, handling enquiries from visitors, staff, and pupils.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Music Department, supporting with administration for teachers and their timetabling, lost property, music locker allocation, departmental inventory of keys/lockers, maintenance requests, and general tidiness.
  • Coordinate practice rooms, ensuring equipment is stored correctly and required equipment is present.
  • Manage and update physical and online departmental resources.
  • Ensure sheet music, stationery, and consumables are ordered and distributed.
  • Handle room bookings and allocations administration regularly.
  • Maintain the Music Library with stock and lending records.
  • Support with relevant projects with associated school music divisions.
  • Market Music Department events, producing marketing and publicity materials, and disseminating across social media and elsewhere.
  • Assist with the dissemination of tickets for external events and email communications with briefings.

About the Role:

This is a temporary position, providing administrative support to the Music Department for a four-week period. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
