Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Deputy Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a caring environment for residents through high standards of professional practice, which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • To implement the requirements of the recognised fundamental standards for Care Homes for Older People, published in accordance with the Care Home Act 2008 and 2014, and ensure that all outcomes are met.
  • To be physically involved in the care of the residents and to meet all resident's individual needs, either personally or through delegation.
  • To lead and manage a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • To work closely with the Home Manager to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of residents.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role or 5 years experience as a Senior Care Assistant / Care Team Leader.
  • Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management, RMA or working towards it.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
