Job Title: High Level Teaching Assistant with SEN Support

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a High Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a vibrant school in Liverpool.

About the Role

As a High Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies to benefit students with SEN.
  • Providing general cover to lessons when needed, requiring basic literacy and maths skills.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment while supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assisting with personal care, mobility needs, and supporting students with SEN.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and providing feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Enhanced DBS clearance and the ability to upload it to the update service.
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Experience as a High Level Teaching Assistant and relevant qualifications for this role.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs and those who need extra support.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students with SEN.
