Job Title: High Level Teaching Assistant with SEN Support

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a High Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a vibrant school in Liverpool.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and possess the necessary qualifications to support students with their academic, social, and emotional development. You will be responsible for assisting the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies, providing general cover to lessons, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies to benefit students with SEN.
  • Provide general cover to lessons and have basic literacy and maths skills.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment while supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility needs, and help those with SEN needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS cleared and uploaded to the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Experience as a HLTA and relevant qualifications for this role.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs and those who need extra support.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting those with SEN.
