Payroll Services Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Services Coordinator to join our team at Nottinghamshire County Council. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking payroll administration on behalf of various departments, schools, and external clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll calculations, including tax, national insurance, and pension contributions. You will also possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Action new starters, leavers, and contractual variations on the payroll system
- Produce contracts, maternity administration, and respond to general pay queries
- Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
Requirements
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Good customer service skills and a positive approach to teamwork
- Knowledge of computerized/manual systems and business processes
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
