Job Title: Careers & Welfare Co-ordinator

About the Role:

The Manchester College is seeking a skilled Careers & Welfare Co-ordinator to join our team at our City Campus. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering an informed and effective CEIAG Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance service to our learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and deliver a high-quality CEIAG service to individuals and groups of clients, supporting enrolment, progression, retention, and achievement of learners within TMC.
  • Work with key stakeholders and employers to maximise learners' positive experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds, providing sensitive and empathetic support.
  • Manage own workflow and time-management skills to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Collaborate with cross-college teams to establish positive relationships and train others within the team.
  • Utilise excellent communication and IT skills to create resources and deliver to clients.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform guidance and support services.

Requirements:

  • Level 6 Career qualification or a minimum of a Level 4 Qualification in Guidance, with a willingness to work towards a Level 6 qualification.
  • Numeracy and Literacy skills to level 2 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the Career and Guidance industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of occupational, student finance, and welfare matters.
