We seek an experienced physician to provide medical services on a casual basis at the Immigration Holding Centre in Surrey, BC.
Clinics are 4 hours long and occur three times per week. Clinic hours must occur between 8am and 4pm.
The selected candidate will collaborate with nursing services, a psychologist, and psychiatrist on site.
You will be responsible for initial medical screenings of individual detainees and ongoing medical support for primary healthcare needs while detainees are in the centre.
You will provide medical advice and guidance to CBSA officials and refer detainees to appropriate in-house or off-site medical services.
Estimated Salary: $325/hour (flat rate) x 4 hours/clinic = $1,300/clinic. Competitive stipend for being on-call between clinics.
Requirements- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Minimum of five years experience as a practicing physician in a primary healthcare facility for adults.
