About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Assistant to join our in-house Design team, supporting our non-clothing department (Bags, Accessories, Footwear). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their talent within the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Design Manager across the non-clothing department, maintaining and updating documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with the preparation for sign off meetings, organising samples and updating CAD sheets.
  • Manage daily tasks in line with critical path, creating and amending CAD's in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Liaise with Buying, Garment Tech, Suppliers & Factories, researching relevant trends for shape, print and colour in keeping with the brand.
  • Provide consistent and quality admin support to the team, continually aiming to develop yourself and asking your Line Manager for support and guidance.
Requirements
  • Fashion design related degree or equivalent industry experience within fashion retail.
  • Previous experience working on a womenswear non-clothing department is key, ideally handbags.
  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills, with the ability to translate trends into a commercial way for the Lipsy customer.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
