About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Urban Designer to join our team at the Urban Design Group. As a key member of our Design and Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality designs that support the effective delivery of our programmes and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of urban design projects, working closely with stakeholders and community groups to ensure that our designs meet the needs of local communities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, external clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of urban designers and engineers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of our design and engineering team, providing guidance and support to junior staff members.
  • Represent the Urban Design Group at meetings and events, promoting our work and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of working on urban design projects, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality designs that meet the needs of local communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and community groups.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate the work of multiple team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and practice, including the application of CDM regulations.
