Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Conference and Events Supervisor to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Conference and Events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and conferences, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of our hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up meeting rooms and events areas to ensure a high-quality experience for our guests.
- Ensure staff provide excellent customer service during each event, serving food and beverages to guests and delivering the highest standards in service and presentation.
- Prepare tea/coffee breaks and stations with appropriate food and beverages and at the correct time as stated in the Event function sheet.
- Resolve any guest requests and aim to fulfill any special requirements during the event.
- Be responsible for ensuring all working areas are kept clean and tidy, taking responsibility for stock taking.
- Assist with the training and development of Team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Conference and Events role.
- Ideal experience in a supervisory role, with evidence of supervisory training.
- Ability to deliver excellent standards, using own initiative and having a strong customer service attitude.
- Genuine desire to provide a warmer welcome to our guests.
