UK Financial Accounting Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Accounting Lead to spearhead our external financial reporting efforts within the Boden Group. This key role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can lead our team in delivering high-quality external reporting, including the production of annual statutory accounts to statutory deadlines.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK law, with advanced analytical and technical skills to navigate complex financial landscapes. They will also have highly developed project management and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
A key aspect of this role is leadership, as you will be responsible for managing an operational-level relationship with auditors, ensuring that quarterly, interim, and annual audit requirements progress smoothly. You will also be responsible for the production of industry-specific regulatory reporting, including Cabinet Office submissions, Office of National Statistics reporting, and IAS 19 pension reporting.
In addition, you will have experience in challenging the status quo and fostering an innovative mindset within teams, as well as the ability to credibly influence and challenge at all levels within the organisation.
As a seasoned Financial Accounting Lead, you will have a solid understanding of financial accounting principles and be able to apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also have experience in planning and executing step plans for the liquidation of surplus entities within the UK BU, performed in accordance with UK law and UK GAAP.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build successful business relationships and present complex financial information to various stakeholders. You will also have strong reporting skills, with experience in preparing statutory accounts and internal Group reporting.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are a qualified accountant with a strong background in financial accounting and leadership, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
