Industry Placement Assessor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industry Placement Assessor to join our team at The Bedford College Group. As an Industry Placement Assessor, you will play a crucial role in the success of our students by sourcing industry placements, arranging and conducting health and safety checks, and ensuring employers are fully committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our learners.

• Sourcing industry placements and arranging health and safety checks
• Ensuring employers are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment
• Acting as industry placement lead for T-Level provision
• Coordinating all aspects of industry placements
• Providing workplace readiness activities for land-based learners
• Supporting learners to ensure successful completion of industry placements
• Assisting the Head of Department in improving curriculum development and excellence

• Good all-round level of education, including Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent level (level 2)
• A1 Assessor qualification or TAQA Award, or willingness to work towards
• Minimum of level 3 in the relevant sector area
• Knowledge of recent developments in industry placements
• Knowledge and understanding of vocational qualifications and T Levels
• Knowledge of the land-based sector and its opportunities
• Recent relevant commercial or industrial experience in the land-based sector
• Ability to manage own diary to ensure learners are seen regularly
• Ability to travel across a geographical area

• Salary from £29,000 (Pro Rata) DOE and Qualifications
