About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Health Care Assistant to join our Health Protection Service team in North Wales. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in responding to health protection measures and threats, working in partnership with other agencies to protect and improve health and wellbeing in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the Health Protection Service team, either at your designated work base or as part of an agile, patient-facing, outreach team at any location within North Wales.
  • Under the direction and support of a Registered Nurse, follow Health Board protocols, policies, procedures, pathways, clinical governance requirements, and care plans.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, carers, multidisciplinary teams, and the wider health and social care community.
  • Practice in accordance with Health Board standards, statutory requirements, and operate within the boundaries of your role and assessed competencies.
  • Use your personal effectiveness and knowledge to contribute to the development and delivery of a quality service.
  • Work proactively as a member of the multi-disciplinary and multi-professional healthcare team, in support of registered practitioners.
  • Manage a small defined caseload of patients under the supervision of the registered nurse.
  • Work within current national and local guidelines for Infectious Disease, ensuring correct Personal Protective Equipment is used at all times.
