Group Sales Development Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated Group Sales Development Executive to join our team at The Growth Company. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for promoting Manchester as a UK and international conference destination.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a Client-Focused Service: Develop and implement a sales strategy to increase revenue for the Manchester Convention Bureau team.
- Operate the VLS Service: Prepare proposals and manage enquiries and conversions using the Venue Location Service (VLS) system.
- Manage Client Relationships: Maintain a small portfolio of clients with conference and accommodation requirements.
- Research and Forecasting: Research events to support the ABS and VLS forecast with delegate numbers, room nights, and revenue figures.
- Data Accuracy and Security: Ensure operating systems maintain data accuracy and adhere to information security policies.
- Negotiation and Financial Skills: Liaise with partners to secure mutually beneficial rates and contractual agreements.
- Commission Revenue: Maximise commission revenue for the Manchester Convention Bureau team.
- A minimum of 1 year of sales or customer service experience is required.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
- Ability to work in an agile environment with customer service and sales experience.
