Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Social Care Manager to join our team and lead our STEPS (Short Term Enablement Programme) service. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of our service and developing its future direction.


About the Role


The successful candidate will have significant experience in social care management, with a strong understanding of adult social care principles and practices. You will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to achieve outstanding results.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of the STEPS service, ensuring high-quality care and support to our service users.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the user experience.
  • Lead and manage a team of social care professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional care.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including colleagues from other directorates and external partners, to ensure effective communication and coordination across the organisation.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring they align with our organisational values and goals.

Requirements



  • Degree-level qualification in social work or a related field.
  • Significant experience in social care management, preferably in an adult social care setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong understanding of adult social care principles and practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
