Job Summary:
Apple Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collating, analysing and validating complex and sensitive data for NIMACH projects. This will involve assisting with inputting data into relevant databases and the MBRRACE_UK system, extracting data from clinical systems as required, and linking data from different systems and sources using appropriate methodologies to ensure accuracy and integrity of source data is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Collate, analyse and validate complex and highly sensitive data for NIMACH projects
Assist with inputting data into relevant databases and the MBRRACE_UK system
Extract data from clinical systems as required
Link data from different systems and sources using appropriate methodologies to ensure accuracy and integrity of source data is maintained
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of NIMACH data
Liaise with health professionals to promote the collection of high-quality personal and clinical data and completeness of datasets
Liaise with health professionals regarding incomplete or inconsistent personal and clinical data
Coordinate the validation and correction of identified errors of personal and clinical data on the MBRRACE system
Identify opportunities to improve on data flows and clarify any issues with case definitions
Be responsible for the validation and audit of data quality and act on findings of audits to ensure that the correct procedures and systems are in place to enable consistency, accuracy and timeliness in capturing and recording of sensitive, personal and clinical information
Be responsible for the planning and production of high-quality management information and complex analyses to assist in the surveillance and monitoring of the national Clinical Outcome Review Programmes for perinatal, maternal and child health
Provide accurate and validated information in response to Assembly Questions and Freedom of Information enquiries
Facilitate annual quality assurance audits of data submitted in required timeframes to national surveillance programmes
Requirements:
Possess a university degree or professional qualification in a health service or health-service related field
1 year's relevant experience
GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics at grade C or above
2 years practical experience in a working environment of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes (or equivalent)
Ability to extract data from complex databases/datasets using analysis and query tools
Ability to use Microsoft Excel or Access to manipulate and present data
Effective planning and organisational skills and an ability to use own initiative, identify problems and solutions
Knowledge of the Database structures
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Hourly Rate:
£14.5 per hour
