Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior.NET Developer to join our team at Schroders Business Campus in West Sussex. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions using.NET Core and ASP.NET Core.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop existing and new features to the product suite following the SAFe methodology
  • Use code reviews to drive quality improvements and share knowledge
  • Work with other Senior and Principal Developers to implement new best practices, design patterns, and technologies
  • Coach and mentor other developers in design, coding, automated testing, and quality best practices
  • Manage technical debt and guide the team at a technical level
  • Support the team in achieving its objectives
Requirements
  • 6 years' experience as a Developer, including at least 3 years' building web applications
  • 3 years' experience of.NET Core and ASP.NET Core
  • 3 years' experience of C# and SQL Server
  • 2 years' experience of ASP.NET MVC
  • Some experience with ASP.NET Web Forms
  • Experience as a technical lead on projects within a small group of developers
  • Working within Agile methodologies like SCRUM and Kanban
  • A deep understanding and practical experience of object-oriented principles and best practices such as SOLID
  • Experience of ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework, Dapper & NHibernate
  • SOA / Microservices
  • NServiceBus (or equivalent)
  • An appreciation of the world outside of Development – understanding the pressures and challenges facing key stakeholders across the business
  • Strong communication skills
