About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior.NET Developer to join our team at Schroders. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications built using ReactJS and ASP.NET Core.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new features and enhance existing ones to improve the investor portal following the SAFe methodology
  • Participate in code reviews to drive quality improvements and share knowledge with the team
  • Collaborate with senior developers and the Architect team to implement new work and technology practices
  • Work with the UX team to ensure design guidelines are followed
  • Support the team in achieving its objectives

Requirements:

  • 3 years' commercial experience developing web applications, preferably single-page applications and APIs
  • Strong JavaScript skills, including ES6, Node, and NPM
  • Comfortable using CSS3 and SASS or LESS
  • Proficient in automated testing in both front-end and back-end (unit, integration, etc.)
  • A good working understanding of object-oriented principles and best practices such as SOLID
  • 2 years' commercial experience developing HTTP RESTful APIs in.NET
  • Experience working within an Agile methodology (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban)
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Financial Services industry experience
  • ESLint, Jest, VS Code
  • Storybook, Styleguidist, or Fractal
  • Mobile App Development - ideally React Native, or iOS/Android
  • SVG and/or HTML5 Canvas
  • Flow or TypeScript
  • E2E testing (Cypress) and API testing
  • Redux
  • Experience of building and deploying web applications and troubleshooting issues
  • SOA/Microservices
  • CQRS
  • Entity Framework
  • Azure: Storage, Service Bus, Azure Functions
  • T-SQL
  • NServiceBus (or equivalent)
  • Git
  • Working within the SAFe methodology
