Job Description:

In this role as a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to a young man with a spinal injury. You will work in his own home and in the community, assisting him to achieve optimal independence.

You will follow a client-specific Support Plan, training, and company policies while providing assistance, guidance, and encouragement as directed by the Client and Case Manager.

This is a full-time, permanent position with 36 hours per week, including waking night shifts. You will receive a competitive salary of £24,000 per annum, paid via BACS credit into your bank account on a calendar monthly basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. A clean DBS is also required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • To assist the client with personal care tasks where appropriate and enable him to be as independent as possible.
  • To undertake training and administer medication as appropriate and as specified in the client's Support Plan.
  • To motivate, support, and encourage the client's participation in a variety of domestic pursuits.
