Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our busy team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and undertaking a wide range of secretarial tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Typing and Documentation: Type letters, reports, and associated documentation in a timely manner.
  2. Liaising with External Agencies: Liaise with external agencies such as hospitals and community services to ensure referrals are processed efficiently.
  3. Data Management: Maintain an accurate referrals database and process referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS).
  4. Patient Records: Scan patient-related documentation and attach scanned documents to patient health care records.
  5. Data Input: Input data into patient health care records.
  6. Coding and IT: Code data on the clinical IT system.
  7. Communication: Answer incoming phone calls, transfer calls, or deal with caller requests appropriately.
  8. Support and Cover: Support reception staff and provide cover during staff absences.
