About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Richmond Villages Wood Norton. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest cleaning standards throughout our luxury retirement village.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that our residents' care home facilities, public areas, and individual properties are maintained to the highest cleaning standards.
- Operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers to keep our facilities clean and tidy.
- Empty bins regularly and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors to ensure a high level of cleanliness.
- Clean carpets and upholstery, and wash woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Wash, dry, and iron residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry, including for our on-site care home residents.
- Report all safety hazards to management and ensure Health and Safety standards and COSSH are adhered to at all times.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with experience in a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards. You will be friendly and approachable, with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
