About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Physician in Stroke Medicine to join our team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with acute and rehabilitation stroke needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical opinion on a full range of acute medical conditions, including medical emergencies.
  • Take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of stroke services, including rapid access TIA patient assessments and outpatient stroke clinics.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council.
  • MRCP and higher training in General Internal Medicine and Stroke Medicine, Geriatrics, Neurology, or Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and work collaboratively with colleagues.
