We are seeking a skilled LNG Portfolio Trader to join our team at Gazprom Energy in London.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £80,000 per annum, with a bonus earning potential of up to 20% of the base salary. In addition, we provide a non-contributory pension, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and volunteering days, buy/sell holidays, life assurance, medical and dental insurance, and a range of optional flexible benefits.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work as a key member of our LNG Front Office team, collaborating with physical teams to identify opportunities, monetize flexibility, and risk-manage positions. This includes executing financial orders & hedging needs for the LNG Trading team across all assets/indices, providing accurate and live quotes, advising on liquidity, execution strategies, and timing considerations, and working with analysts and teams to develop pricing tools.

  • Stakeholder in the LNG Financial Trading team: Execution and oversight of all financial/derivative requirements across the growing physical LNG portfolio.
  • Executes financial orders & hedging needs for the LNG (Physical) Trading team across all assets/indices, including European Gas, US gas, Oil, Financial LNG, and freight (FFAs).
  • Understands the above markets, provides accurate and live quotes, able to advise on liquidity, execution strategies, and timing considerations; provides pricing & formula reviews and works with analysts and teams to develop pricing tools;
  • Works with the physical teams (LNG Trading and LNG Structured Trading/Origination) to assist in developing and implementing trading strategies (and testing thereof), hedging, position-management, complex structures, new deals, and joint value-creation opportunities;
  • Understand contractual terms and flexibilities, running portfolio scenarios, and developing and implementing strategies to risk-manage and monetise these flexibilities (e.g. via financial instruments);
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have experience in options trading across gas and oil markets, valuing, trading, and managing subsequent positions. They should also have proprietary trading experience in the above instruments with a track record, OTC and broker execution experience, and systems, process, controls, and best practice experience in a derivative trading environment.
