About the Role
MultakaOxford is a multi-award-winning programme that uses museums and collections to bring people and communities together, building understanding through the sharing of art, stories, culture, and science. As a Community Connector, you will play a crucial role in engaging and including local people in Banbury and young people in developing activities and events as part of the Multaka programme. Your passion for working with young people (12+) and young adults, as well as your experience in supporting people settling in Oxford/Oxfordshire as refugees or people seeking asylum, will be invaluable in this position. You will help people engage with the project by advocating for it, networking with relevant partners and organisations, coordinating and supporting people to be involved, planning and delivering the project in Banbury and for young people (16–24 years) in the museums.

About You
As a successful candidate, you will have a passion for and experience in working with young people (12+) and young adults, as well as working with people currently settling in Oxford/Oxfordshire as refugees or people seeking asylum. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and have a keen understanding of the importance of inclusivity and community engagement.
