Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a friendly and inclusive primary school in Atherton. As a key member of the staff, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to provide targeted support, helping pupils with SEND reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for pupils with SEND, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and deliver tailored learning strategies.
  • Support the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Help foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Consistently monitor and report on pupils' progress to the SENDCo and teaching staff.
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support to help pupils navigate challenges and develop social skills.
  • Assist with general classroom duties as needed and contribute to wider school life.
