Practice Development Coordinator

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for the ongoing development and management of the Martin James Foundation's learning resource library, ensuring that it remains a valuable asset for affiliates and partners worldwide. The Practice Development Coordinator will also facilitate international Community of Practice sessions, foster active participation, and monitor follow-ups to maintain momentum. Additionally, they will collaborate with affiliated organizations to secure and engage in research projects aligned with specialist areas of expertise.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Learning Resource Library Management:
Update and maintain the Foundation's learning resource library, ensuring it remains a relevant and valuable asset for affiliates and partners.
2. Community of Practice Sessions:
Facilitate international Community of Practice sessions, encouraging active participation and contributions from affiliates and partners, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
3. Research Collaboration:
Collaborate with affiliated organizations to secure and engage in research projects related to specialist areas of expertise.
4. Best Practice Dissemination:
Collate and disseminate examples of best practice and new initiatives within the Foundation and across affiliated organizations.
5. Continuous Learning:
Commit to learning from affiliated teams across the Foundation, contributing to the ongoing development of practice resources.
6. Specialist Area Development:
Contribute to affiliate-led initiatives in developing specialist areas of practice.
7. Global Project Support:
In collaboration with the International Programme Manager, support the work of partner organizations on global projects.
8. Contact Recording and Reporting:
Maintain appropriate contact recording when engaging with project partners and contribute to monthly practice development reports to the CEO and quarterly reporting to the Board of Trustees.
9. External Communications:
Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Campaigns on external communications and reports, seeking guidance and sign-off as necessary.
10. Partnership Building:
Maintain regular communications with partners to build professional relationships and support their work.
11. Foundation Policies:
All MJF staff must adhere to all relevant policies, including safeguarding, information governance, confidentiality, and data protection, and undergo mandatory training.
Working Arrangements:
This is a hybrid role with an expected 1 or 2 days per week in our Birmingham office and other days working from home. Your hours will generally be 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday, with flexibility to accommodate different time zones and occasional early/late meetings. Some travel may be expected as part of this role.
