We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Designer to join our Firesprite studio, working on a AAA narrative adventure game in Unreal 5. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for prototyping, documenting, and developing key gameplay systems and content from concept to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the design team to specify features, systems, and content needed to deliver the game vision.
- Prototype using Blueprint, Sequencer, Animation Blueprints, and other Unreal tools.
- Design and iterate on prototypes to develop features and ensure they match the creative vision.
- Document and communicate prototype findings and feature goals to cross-discipline feature teams.
- Work with features from concept to completion, through iteration and tuning.
- Deep knowledge of Unreal 5, including Blueprint and Sequencer.
- Professional game development experience in gameplay design.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A creative but pragmatic approach to solving problems and improving quality.
- Able to take direction and critique with a mind to improving quality.
- Dedication to delivering the very best player experience.
- A background that demonstrates technical and communication skills.
- Pro-actively identify and raise upcoming issues.
- Working knowledge of Agile development.
- Good knowledge of industry standard packages (MS Office, Jira, Perforce etc).
- Knowledge of Animation Blueprints.
- Experience with cameras, characters, and controls.
- A passion for cinematic gameplay.
- Experience of at least 1 product cycle – Conception to Completion and Launch.
