Your role as a Children's Support Worker will involve working closely with children in care, prioritizing their needs and well-being. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting them in various aspects of their lives, such as educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities.

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. You'll work in a variety of settings, including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging behaviour, Education, and Residential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support, safeguard, and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assist with daily routines, including community and educational settings
  • Organize and facilitate social activities
  • Transportation
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
  • Offer high levels of supervision and support
  • Comply with Ofsted and CQC regulations
  • Manage complex behaviors and crisis intervention
  • Contribute to care plans and risk assessments

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a child and/or young adult setting is desirable
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Child & Young People's Workforce (CYP) is desirable
  • Age 21 or above to meet industry regulations
  • Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • Enhanced DBS, which can be applied for upon registration
  • Full UK Driving License is desirable
