As a Development Underwriter, your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage risk within the insurance market. You will work closely with brokers to develop new business opportunities and ensure the continued success of existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and underwrite new business proposals, ensuring they align with company underwriting guidelines and profitability targets.
  • Underwrite renewal business, conducting thorough reviews to assess risk and determine appropriate premium adjustments.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a panel of brokers in the South East of England, including London.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within our systems, generating reports as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in the insurance industry.

  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Possess existing relationships with brokers in the South East of England, including London.
  • Exhibit advanced communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Hold an ACII qualification or equivalent.
  • Be proficient in utilizing various systems and demonstrate a commitment to process improvement.
