Job Title: Digital Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Veethree Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electronic hardware solutions for our connected industrial and marine products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronic hardware solutions to meet the required specifications.
  • Develop schematic designs and PCB layouts for complex SoC-based systems.
  • Optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with company engineering design rules, development guidelines, and product development process.
  • Develop test plans to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in design reviews, communicate ideas and solutions, and influence decisions.
  • Test, validate, and document design solutions to ensure they are robust and reliable.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of technical files for new and existing products.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' industry experience in electronic hardware and/or system design.
  • Degree educated in electronic design or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing embedded single board computers, ideally with NXP i.MX family processors.
  • Experience with smaller microcontroller systems, ideally using STM32 or similar devices.
  • Experience of EMC emission control techniques.
  • Experience in circuit design using Altium Designer.
  • Experience of board bring-up and debugging to component level.
  • Digital and analogue design experience to support sensor integration.
Desired Attributes:
  • Ability to produce well-thought-out, maintainable, and readable schematic designs.
  • Experience in designing for EMC compliance.
  • Ability to review hardware designs and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work closely with embedded software teams.
  • Confident in the use of oscilloscopes and test equipment.
  • Experience of CAN bus protocol.
  • Experience in working within an ISO 9001 environment.
