Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to play a key role in integrating and optimizing complex systems to support the research agendas of an international scientific community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on development: Engage directly with cloud technologies, primarily OpenStack, and leverage your coding skills in tools such as Ansible, Helm, Terraform, and Docker.
  • Solution architecture: Lead the development of solution architectures while ensuring alignment with technical standards and project goals.
  • Systems design: Design complex systems, conducting impact analyses and managing associated risks effectively.
  • Project management: Define and monitor systems development projects, ensuring compliance with architectural standards.
  • Collaboration: Utilize tools like Jira for project tracking and engage in daily stand-ups and sprint planning to ensure alignment and progress.

Requirements:

  • Strong coding skills and familiarity with tools such as Ansible, Helm, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is £54,000 per annum.
