Main Duties of the Transport Co-ordinator

As a key member of the Square Peg Associates Ltd team, the Transport Co-ordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of customer orders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily transportation activities, including communication with customers, drivers, and haulier companies.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, drivers, and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of customer orders.
  • Planning and executing daily delivery schedules, optimizing routes for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring all customer orders are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures, with accurate data entry onto the in-house system.
  • Collaborating with customers to plan routes and schedule delivery times, with a focus on proactive and professional management of external transport.
  • Addressing customer issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner, with reporting to the Manager and capture of resolution and costs via relevant systems.
  • Closing off completed jobs on the IT system.
  • Fostering strong, long-term relationships with customers, haulage companies, and drivers to promote the company brand and service.
