Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Class Teacher at Sutherland House School. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating personalized learning opportunities for autistic children and young people aged 3-19.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving the lives of autistic pupils and their families, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Collaborate with therapists and other professionals to ensure students reach their full potential
  • Participate in regular supervision and peer support sessions to maintain high standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Previous experience working with autistic pupils or in additional needs environments (training provided)
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
