We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Emergency Department team. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to children and young people, as well as leading and mentoring junior staff members.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual with experience working in a paediatric emergency department to enhance their skills as a Band 6 nurse. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to children and young people with a range of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert specialist nursing care and support to children and young people
- Lead and mentor junior staff members in the assessment and delivery of care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care of patients from admission to discharge
- Supervise juniors in the assessment and delivery of care
- Act as a resource for adult-trained nurses when they are involved in the care of children
- RN Child branch/RSCN
- Diploma/Degree
- Significant experience of working in an Emergency department environment
- Experience in audits
