Job Title: Senior Product Development Specialist

Burberry is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Development Specialist to join our Product Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the end-to-end product development process for our technical outerwear categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure design integrity and negotiate costs.
  • Strong technical knowledge of outerwear products, including performance, testing, and functionality.
  • Deliver prototypes and samples on time, to quality standards, and within budget.
  • Ensure products are functional, consistent, and fit for purpose, with proactive risk assessment and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering teams for product testing and leverage their expertise to protect the design vision.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in partnership with Senior Designers, understanding and interpreting their creative aesthetic and design vision.
  • Critical path management to ensure collections are delivered on time, identifying and mitigating risks and challenges.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of product cost, achieving a balance between creativity and commercial implications.
  • Preferred Italian speaking.
