Water Management Specialist

Role Overview
The University of Edinburgh is seeking a Water Management Specialist to join its Estates Operations team.
This exciting opportunity is focused on providing water compliance and maintenance across the estate, ensuring the health and safety of others.
The successful candidate will lead in water management, undertaking day-to-day management and control of all identified risks from legionella bacteria.
As an appointed Deputy (DRP Water), you will be responsible for implementing and managing the University's Water Safety Plan.
This role also involves line management responsibility for the Water Control Officer and providing advice on ongoing requirements and amendments to equipment, procedures, or specifications.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive practical experience and relevant technical knowledge of building water systems, infrastructure, and major construction projects.
- Strong and up-to-date knowledge of professional building services, engineering guidelines, and current legislation.
- Flexible, collaborative, customer-focused approach.
- A thorough practical understanding of Health and Safety legislation and management.
