Supporting Students with Special Needs in Waltham Forest

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama graduate to join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in drama who are passionate about using their skills to inspire and support children with special educational needs.

Job Overview:

This role involves working closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans, assist with classroom management, and offer emotional and social support to help students reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver individualised education plans for students with special educational needs.
  • Work alongside teachers to adapt lesson plans to suit the needs of SEN students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Drama or a related field.
  • A passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Experience or voluntary work in an educational or SEN setting is desirable but not essential.
