About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital providing personalized assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways for women with complex care needs.

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support the delivery of structured activities and assist in the planning of individual and group therapeutic interventions. You will build strong relationships with service users to encourage participation and empower recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other multidisciplinary team staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans.
  • Support service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
  • Maintain accurate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.

Requirements

  • GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
  • Experience in a similar environment and mental health.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
