We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting students' mental health and assist with creating a nurturing learning environment.
The role involves providing one-on-one or small group support sessions for students, focusing on supporting emotional regulation and self-care techniques. You will also assist in the development and implementation of education plans for students with mental health concerns.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to teaching assistants and staff in managing the behaviour and specialist needs of young people.
- Monitoring students' progress and communicating effectively with teachers regarding this.
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant privacy and safeguarding laws and regulations.
You will be working term time, from 08:30 – 15:30, and will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
Salary Range: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
