SEN Tutor

Young Giants Ltd is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to join our team. As a SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one tuition and mentoring to children with special educational needs in a child's home or venue within their community.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced SEN Tutor who can commit to a fixed termly timetable. You will be working with children who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD/ASC, ADHD and SEMH. You will need to have a sound understanding of delivering tuition to young people with SEN and be able to think creatively about learning.

• Provide one-to-one tuition and mentoring to children with special educational needs
• Work with children who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD/ASC, ADHD and SEMH
• Develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the needs of each child
• Work closely with parents and carers to ensure that the child's needs are met
• Contribute to the development of the Young Giants Ltd team and help to promote the company's values and mission

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or strong youth work experience/qualification
• Minimum 2 years teaching or mentoring learners with SEND in schools, youth groups or private settings
• Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update system or willingness to have one carried out at a cost of £53.20
• Commitment to the overall academic development of learners, including working to re-engage them in learning
• Willingness to commit to fixed termly timetables without missing lessons due to outside commitments
• Ability to travel to the above location
• Secure understanding of safeguarding
