A dynamic and supportive school in Wakefield is seeking a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality education to students. You will be responsible for leading pre-planned lessons to classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and must be flexible and comfortable working across both Key stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Manage challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a good understanding of child development and learning theories. A relevant qualification or willingness to undertake relevant training is also essential.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £95-£110 per day, depending on experience.
