Section Lead

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Section Lead to manage a team of Legal Administrators and support the Operations Manager in our Managed Legal Services (MLS) team.
Your RoleAs a Section Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Line management of up to 10 Legal Administrators, including performance management, career development, discipline, and welfare support with HR.
- Actively managing work levels, quality, and resources within your Section.
- Monitoring and supervising the quality and completion of tasks allocated to your Section workflows, ensuring timely completion and escalating issues.
- Actively monitoring Section MI, identifying patterns and trends, and discussing findings with the Project Manager, Legal Lead, and MLS Operations Manager.
- Routinely monitoring working methods with the MLS Operations Manager to identify inefficiencies and areas of risk, taking steps to escalate them.
- Holding regular team meetings to ensure the team is informed of relevant developments and their team's progress and performance.
- Using various management tools and methods to manage work quality, policy compliance, and standards, including MI.
- Ensuring supervision meetings and appraisals are conducted, working with the MLS Operations Manager and HR to actively manage and improve staff-related issues.
- Supporting the Operations Manager in developing talent within the team by identifying individual potential.
- Experience managing tasks in a service delivery industry is essential.
- Leadership and people management skills, along with experience of line management, are essential.
- Good communication skills to articulate information verbally, visually, and in writing are required.
- BASIC knowledge of and ability to use common functions of relevant computer applications with appropriate training.
- Legal experience is preferred.
- The ability to understand and apply different task processes is required.
