We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Michael Page Finance. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the group consolidation, financial accounting, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the group consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of monthly accounts and analysis.
- Liaise with Group Finance and external stakeholders, including banks, pension schemes, and credit insurers, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare UK statutory accounts and coordinate with accountants for European statutory accounting.
- Support the Tax Manager on direct and indirect tax submissions and ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting and financial reporting IT systems throughout the Finance Department.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, with experience in group consolidation and statutory accounting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with the finance team and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and systems, with experience in IT system development and maintenance.
