Salary: Up to £55,000 - depending on experience

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Electrical Design Engineer where you will contribute to the advancement of complex defence systems within an Electrical Architecture team.

The Role:

We are looking for skilled professionals to support the electrical/electronic aspects of system architecture. Your responsibilities will include specifying electrical requirements, defining interfaces, designing power architectures, and ensuring signal safety.

You'll be performing an important and key role in one of the many exciting new projects within the business. Supporting the electrical/electronic technical aspects of the system architecture. Along with this you will specify and determine:

  1. Electrical requirements for subsystems/equipment
  2. Interface definitions and characteristics
  3. Power architecture, including load budget and profiles
  4. Data communication and processing architecture
  5. Requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding and screening
  6. Signal safety, including routing of safety-related signals

This role is perfect for experienced engineers or those eager to enhance their engineering skills. Engage in technical discussions with equipment suppliers, participate in testing activities, and contribute to various stages of missile development.

Requirements:

  1. Ideally a degree or equivalent qualification in electrical/electronic engineering or a related subject
  2. Previous experience working in a similar role
  3. UK/international travel may be required to suppliers, customers, and other sites in the UK & Europe.
