Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship Opportunity

MBDA UK Ltd is seeking a talented individual to join their Electronic Engineering department as an Electrical Engineering Apprentice. This four-year programme offers a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in electrical engineering, working on a range of exciting projects, including missile systems, weapon control units, and telemetry systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and integrate electronics for missile systems
  • Work on firing control units for land, naval, and airborne platforms
  • Develop automatic test equipment and electrical equipment
  • Contribute to training simulators and countermeasures equipment

Programme Structure:
The apprentice will study towards a BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Hertfordshire, with one day of study leave per week and four days of rotational placements within the Electronic Engineering department and other areas of the company. This will provide valuable experience and skills in electrical engineering, as well as the opportunity to work on a range of projects and collaborate with colleagues.

Requirements:
  1. 5 GCSES including Maths, English Language, and Science/Technology at a Grade 9-4
  2. 120 UCAS points achieved through a T-Level in an Engineering subject, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma, or equivalent
