Sodexo is seeking a skilled Mobile Cook to join our team in South East London. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food to company standards, including breakfast, morning break, lunch, and hospitality.
- Ensure compliance with all company regulations, including food safety, health and safety, allergen awareness, COSHH, and HACCP.
- Train and develop catering staff to maintain high standards of service and quality.
- Present food to company standards, ensuring each dish is portioned correctly and presented attractively.
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning duties, including food preparation and storage areas, catering communal areas, and removal of waste.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, and adhering to operational procedures.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle required for this role.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hands-on cooking, training in food hygiene, and health and safety.
- Expertise in cooking for large groups, with experience of managing food preparation for 100-1300 students.
- Ability to follow recipes and work with fresh produce and ingredients.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures and ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Professional attitude, leading by example, and a positive outlook.
- Basic food handling skills certification.
- Competitive hourly rate.
- 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-2pm.
- Term-time only (39-week working contract paid over 52 weeks).
