About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated social worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team at Bury Council. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting the progression of others and making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.

The successful candidate will have a passion for strength-based models of social work practice and motivational interviewing. You will work closely with a multi-agency team, including Social Workers, Family Support Workers, Domestic Abuse Practitioners, Recovery Workers, Mental Health Practitioners, and Psychologists, to address family issues efficiently and reduce the need for referrals to other agencies.

Key responsibilities will include supporting children and their families through Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, PLO pre-proceedings, and Care Proceedings. You will have the opportunity to build trusting relationships with children and families, which is essential for positive and effective engagement and achieving better outcomes.
