About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated social worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team at Bury Council. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting the progression of others and contributing to the 'Let's Do it for Children' vision.

The successful candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, and will be committed to working using strength-based models of social work practice and motivational interviewing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and families through Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, PLO pre-proceedings, and Care Proceedings
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to address family issues efficiently
  • Provide supervision and support to social workers and other team members
  • Contribute to the development of the Family Safeguarding model and its implementation in Bury
