About the Role

The Morson Talent team is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our client's Wing Plant Engineering Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading design investigations and formulating technical solutions for Manufacturing Non-Conformances and Design Investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design investigations and formulate technical solutions for Manufacturing Non-Conformances and Design Investigations.
  • Operate as a lead design engineer and hold design approval signatory in particular for manufacturing non-conformances (T200).
  • Act as a focal point in leading and providing guidance on technical issues and governance.
  • Support technical mentoring for engineering team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through methods, process and other improvements.
  • Report on critical technical issues through functional managers and directly into delivery managers.
  • Develop stakeholder relationships in the wider network to engineering.

Requirements:

  • Motivated and self-driven with the ability to work autonomously when required.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver reliably on time, cost and quality while embracing change and challenge.
  • Anticipation mindset with the ability to identify risks/opportunities and manage them appropriately.
  • Ability to understand and synthesise multiple complex activities and communicate them clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Work in an open and trusting environment.
  • Understand, nurture and demonstrate resilience.
  • Currently holds Concession Design Approval (T200) or held it in the past.
