Chief of Radiology and Medical Director


The Physician Affiliate Group of New York and MedNet Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief of Radiology and Medical Director to lead our radiology department and drive excellence in patient care, innovation, and team collaboration. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing effective strategies and policies that focus on cost-effective healthcare services, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and service delivery.



Key Responsibilities

  • Directs the overall day-to-day clinical operations of the department with oversight of all clinical and non-clinical staff and is accountable for operational excellence and delivery of quality services.
  • Provides visionary leadership to the radiology department, setting strategic goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborates with senior management to align radiology services with the overall healthcare facility’s mission and goals.
  • Oversees and participates in the interpretation of radiological images, ensuring accurate diagnoses and timely reporting. Stay updated with advancements in radiology technology, techniques, and research to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Ensures adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines for radiology services. Develops and implements quality assurance programs to monitor and improve the accuracy and reliability of radiological interpretations.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of the department’s activities and departmental quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with all required protocols and regulations.


Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Board certification in Radiology
  • Active medical license and eligibility for medical practice in the state
  • Proven experience as a radiologist with a track record of clinical excellence
  • Previous leadership or administrative experience within a healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of radiology technology, techniques, and best practices
